Here Comes The Sun
Too much sun can not only give you flaky red skin, strap marks and cause you to walk around like a crab...it can also give you skin cancer.
Skin cancer has more than doubled in the last 10 years and it is now the most common cancer in 15-24 year olds.
We want you to enjoy this summer and many, many more, so please stay safe by:
- Seeking shade
- Covering up when the sun is at its strongest
- Slapping on the sunscreen plenty and often!
- Wear at least a SPF 15 sunscreen
- Slap it on thickly, don’t scrimp
- Apply approximately 30 minutes before you go out in the sun
- Reapply every two hours- or more often if you’ve been rubbed, scrubbed or splashed
Sunscreen can help protect you from the sun but it doesn’t make you invincible!
Tenovus is campaigning for the Welsh Assembly Government to provide free sunscreen for all children under the age of 11 in Wales.
We would like you to join our campaign by signing our petition CLICK HERE.
Have you seen our Suncream Van?
Our very own Suncream Van has been out and about around Wales this week, giving out free suncream, information about sun awareness and seeking support for our petition.
Here are some pictures of our Here Comes The Sun roadshow!
