counselling
Our highly trained and experienced counsellors support people with cancer as well as their carers/family. We provide people with an opportunity to talk things over and can support people through a variety of difficulties including end-of-life decisions, relationship difficulties and coping with loss.
These are some of the typical problems we can help people with:
- Feeling of being out of control
- Being on an emotional 'roller coaster'
- Stress in relationships
- Worrying about the future
- Feeling scared, vulnerable or angry
- Why don't I feel better now?
- Adjusting to life after change or loss.
All of our counselling staff are qualified or are 'in training' counsellors and psychotherapists who have a special interest in cancer related problems. They respectfully support people to explore their individual feelings and needs.
Before starting a period of counselling, we will sit down together and have a general discussion about your needs and requirements. We can also offer counselling over the phone, so our support is on offer to you regardless of where you live within Wales.
If you do decide to go ahead with counseling, all of our sessions are completely confidential.
