At Tenovus, we are wholly reliant on people getting involved in fundraising. We don't received any support from Government and all our income is generated through our own fundraising efforts.

There are many ways that you can help, from signing up to one of current events, or organising your own fundraiser, or by simply making a regular or one off donation.

Daring and adventurous…wild and wacky…fabulous and frivolous …there are loads of ways to raise money and have fun!

People and organisations who have helped us to raise money have felt a great sense of pride for helping us in our mission to take cancer support into the heart of local communities.

We've got loads of basic fundraising hints and tips for you and advice on how to run a successful fundraising event… so what's your Big Idea?

Remember, no matter how big or small your donation, every penny really does make a difference.

If you are planning your own fundraising event, please contact our dedicated fundraising team who will help and advise you on making it a great success and ensure that your get Health & Safety right.

If you're planning a collection, you will need to contact your local authority. If you are collecting on private property, such as a supermarket, you need permission from the owner.

If you plan to run a raffle it must be registered with your local council - Tenovus can help guide you through this.

• Ask your company to match the donations you raise.
• Ask your donors for their full contact details so that Tenovus can claim Gift Aid on their donations.

what to do with the money you raise?     

• Send in your fundraising efforts in the following ways:
• Online - via your Justgiving or Virgin Money page
• By post - pay the money you have raised into one bank account and write a cheque made payable to "Tenovus" and send to Tenovus, Gleider House, Ty Glas Road, Llanishen, Cardiff CF14 5BD
• At a Tenovus shop - take your money to your local Tenovus shop 

why not set up your own Friends of Tenovus Group?

Our Friends of Tenovus groups are the backbone of the community fundraising department and some groups have been supporting the charity for over 30 years!

The groups vary in size, some being made up of friends and family and others of work colleagues and social contacts.

They raise money for Tenovus by organising their own events throughout the year ranging from book sales and sponsored walks to clothes swaps and ladies lunches - there's no limit to what they do!
