You will provide support to our Cancer Support Advisers
through our dedicated support line or in other locations in line
with client needs. You will contact both patients and health care
professionals to gather vital information to ensure anyone who
accesses our services gets the best possible service.
Whitchurch, Cardiff
To provide support to our Cancer Support Advisers, you will be
based within our Education Centre at Velindre hospital, Cardiff.
You will meet with both patients and health care professionals to
gather vital information to ensure anyone who accesses our services
gets the best possible service. You will also be responsible for
raising awareness of Tenovus services available to those affected
by cancer.

You will assist in the planning, promotion, marketing and
recruitment for our 3 major campaigns; Breast Cancer Awareness
Month, Male Cancer Awareness Month and Christmas Lovelight
Concerts.
Cardiff and the vale, Blaenau Gwent and
Caerphilly
You will represent Tenovus within your local community and
thereby help generate funds and awareness for the charity within
your area.
Tenovus Warehouse, Cardiff
You will provide support to our eBay and Website online
shop.
Cardiff, Head Office
You will assist our Communications Team in the delivery of
Tenovus' communications strategy. As Tenovus continues to expand
across Wales, the role of the Graphic Design intern will be heavily
involved in projects, including campaigns.
Cardiff and the Vale
You will attend events and health awareness days throughout
the year, providing advice to people who complete the questions on
the Touchscreen Health Check. This will be done verbally or by
providing written information to take away.
Cardiff, Head Office
You will assist the Research team in developing new
and innovative cancer prevention initiatives involving local
communities where incidence of cancer is high.
Based in Cardiff, Head Office and to attend events in
various locations and settings across Wales.
You will help us run our Here Comes the Sun Campaign, from
June-September 2012. You will attend various events with our
sun cream van and give out sun safety literature and sun cream.
Cardiff, Head Office
You will assist in the planning, promotion and sale of our
bi-annual raffle and Lottery schemes which generate significant
income for Tenovus.
Our shops in South Wales
Volunteers are so important to our shops - they offer the
friendly face that puts the shop together and looks after our
customers.
Cardiff, Head Office
You will assist the Cancer Support Team in raising
awareness of our Freephone Cancer Support Line 0808 808 1010 right
across Wales. You will be contacting organisations/businesses to
explain to them what we can offer people affected by cancer and
sending them publicity materials promoting our services and our
Support Line. This will hopefully increase calls to the Support
Line and enable Tenovus to help more people.
Cardiff and the vale
You will help Tenovus to run our Ice Cream Van, which runs
throughout the year. It involves attending various events with the
sun cream van giving out sun safety literature and sun cream.
Tenovus Warehouse, Llanishen
We are looking to provide a service where we put bags
through letterboxes and arrange a time to come and collect the
stock. Working with the Warehouse Manager, you will deliver
donation bags to homes in agreed areas and then collect filled bags
on an agreed day which will be marked on the
bag.
Cardiff, Head Office
You will assist the Corporate Fundraising and Events Team
in recruiting event participants, selling tables and accruing
prizes for events through telephone canvassing.
South Wales
You are someone who has been affected by cancer in some way, and
we want to give you a platform to have your say. You will be
provided with a full induction to the charity, coaching in public
speaking and have access to all our services. You will sit on the
ambassadors committee to share your views and put forward proposals
for change.
South East Wales (various locations)
We are looking for someone to share their love of walking
and lead a walking group for people affected by cancer once a week
in an allocated area.
