Training and benefits
we are committed to ensuring our volunteers are fully
trained and equipped for any role they undertake with us.
By ensuring you are trained not only prepares you for the role
you are to undertake with us, but this can also look great on your
CV.
In 2011 we will be providing accredited training for
volunteers.
We currently provide training in the following areas:
- induction to Tenovus
- delivering and operating the Tenovus Health Check
- welfare rights
- introduction to cancer
Jane Bridgeman, Senior Development Nurse and qualified trainer,
explains the benefits of training for the organisation and for the
volunteers:
'Training not only increases the knowledge base of
volunteers but also enhances confidence in their own ability. The
organisation benefits from knowing each volunteer has received the
same training and are able to maintain and improve on the quality
of service we provide.'
For more information on upcoming training dates, please contact
Volunteer Development Manager on 029 2076 8850 or email volunteer@tenovus.org.uk.
