Monday 24th May 2010
Tenovus, Wales leading cancer charity is now the only cancer charity shop in the area of Haverfordwest and is calling for support from local people to help keep them going.
Following a recent closure of the Cancer Research UK shop in the town, Tenovus has become the only shop in the area that fundraise for cancer patients.
Sue Hayes, Wales Retail Area Manager said;
“As the only cancer charity shop in Haverfordwest we urge supporters of all cancer charities to come forward with their donations to Tenovus. We constantly have to drop bags through letterboxes as we cannot survive solely on over the door donations that come through.”
The money raised through Tenovus charity shops goes directly towards funding Tenovus Mobile Cancer Support Unit and Cancer Support Team which includes a new Welfare rights Officer for west Wales, providing practical advice and support for cancer patients in the area.
