Tenovus offer life after cancer support to patients and their families

Tenovus, Wales leading cancer charity will be developing two new support groups in Merthyr for people affected by cancer.
The first being a Bereavement Group for families and friends who have lost a loved one to cancer. The second a Life after Cancer Group for those who have been affected by cancer in some way. Both focus on bringing care and support into the heart of the community and will operate aboard Tenovus Mobile Cancer Support Unit based in McArthur Glen car park.
Duncan Innes, Tenovus Mobile Cancer Support Unit Manager, said,
“Cancer affects people in all sorts of ways and Tenovus are determined that everyone should be receiving the best quality support available. With this in mind we are delighted to be offering these new services in Merthyr, in the heart of patient’s communities.”
Tenovus Mobile Cancer Support Unit has been visiting Merthyr for over a year providing much needed support to people affected by cancer. The aim of the new groups is to further develop the support that is offered.
The new support groups being developed by the charity will operate on a monthly basis in Merthyr, the Bereavement Group on the second Monday of the month commencing May 10th and the Life after Cancer Group on the fourth Monday of the month commencing May 24th.
