TV stars perform at Tenovus Spring Concert
Monday 24th May 2010
Tenovus’ Sing for Life Choir who recently featured in a BBC One Wales documentary “It’s Good to Sing”, will be performing at Tenovus Spring Concert on April 10th at Llandaff Cathedral sponsored by Chevron.
The choir aims to allow people affected by cancer to enjoy themselves, meet other people and produce a fabulous sound! The charity has run a research project alongside the choir looking at the health and social benefits of singing.
This will be the choirs’ third performance following their royal performance for Tenovus Patron Anne, and at Tenovus black and gold St David’s Dinner last month.
Alison Upton, Head of Corporate fundraising and Events for Tenovus says
“This concert is a great opportunity for the audience to see the Tenovus Sing for Life choir live following their TV debut! It will also raise much needed funds for Tenovus to continue providing services and support cancer patients in their communities in Wales.
This Spring concert features South Wales Male Choir, one of the largest in the principality with a reputation for harmonic singing from a wide repertoire of Welsh tunes, songs from the shows, selections from opera and popular songs.
Tom Kovar, Chevron Pembroke Refinery General Manager said,
“Our support of Tenovus recognises the expanding reach across Wales of Chevron’s corporate responsibility programme and we are thrilled to sponsor what is sure to be a fabulous evening.”
Tickets for Tenovus’ Spring Concert are available now by calling 02920 768850 or emailing Nadine.egal@tenovus.org.uk and are priced at just £12 each or £20 for VIP tickets.
