Cancer Genetic Service Wales- Psychosocial Research Team
Wednesday 12th August 2009
At Tenovus we strive to put people affected by cancer right at the heart of everything we do. This is exemplified by the work of the Tenovus funded research team at the Cancer Genetic Service for Wales.
Since Since it’s establishment in 1998, the Cancer Genetic Service for Wales (CGSW) has helped over 15,000 people concerned that a history of cancer in their families may be due to a genetic fault which could have been passed on to them and their family members.
By listening to the real experiences of these people and their families, the CGSW research team, lead by Dr Rachel Iredale, have built an international reputation for their work identifying the information and support needs of people with an increased risk of developing a genetic cancer.
