tell me more
Today 46 people in Wales will be told they have cancer. We want to make a difference to these people and their family by delivering cancer treatment and support in their local communities.
“With Tenovus' help I realise that cancer hasn't changed my life, I just want to live it more”
With your support, we can:
- Launch our mobile cancer support unit which will deliver chemotherapy, practical and emotional support, provide cancer screening and help us raise awareness of cancer in local communities and schools.
- Set up local support centres - these centres will offer vital emotional and practical support in areas of the greatest need..
- Develop a children's bereavement service to provide a safe, child-friendly environment, where children are encouraged to talk about their fears and concerns arising from a cancer diagnosis of a close family member.
- Run a PhD Studentships programme offering bright minds the funds they need to contribute to the development of innovative cancer care and support.
- Extend our Cancer Support Team so we can help cancer patients and their families across Wales.
- Open a multi media education and training centre that will be a point of access to information and development.
- Establish links with existing self-help groups and form new ones to help cancer patients and their family through their whole cancer journey.
